This sauce is excellent in any place where you would normally use soy sauce. It is especially good with eggplant tempura chips.
Basil Ginger Soy Dipping Sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- handful of fresh Thai basil leaves (available at Pacific Ocean Market, Broomfield), minced
- 1 inch peeled ginger, minced
- juice of 2 limes
- 1 tsp sugar
In a food processor, finely grind the basil and ginger. Add lime juice, soy sauce and sugar and blend until the sauce is of uniform consistency.
Enjoy with your favorite sushi, spring rolls, dumplings or tempura.
