After a few days working and driving around the congested highways and byways, Saturday morning is a good time to recharge one's battery at a health club. Pull yourself out of the sack, sip a cup of coffee and munch a banana before jumping into the car for a trip to a conveniently located lap pool--public or private.
Indoor pools pop up like mushrooms in a wet forest when looking for one. Try 24 Hour Fitness, another one is Village Fitness , or Lone Tree Athletic Club. So there is bound to be an indoor lap pool located near your home. Public indoor swimming pools seem abundant. Both Lone Tree Rec. Center or Castle Rock Rec. Center have indoor pools and hot tubs. Denver Metro area supports 13 public indoor swimming pools. Simply google indoor swimming pools to find a swimming pool in your vicinity.
One good way to begin a swim routine is to begin with a hot tub. Ease into the lap pool after sliding into the hot tub for a ten minute soak. Feels good? Yes! When you are feeling a bit hot then the lap pool calls you to be like a frog jumping from one pool to the next. This is a comfortable way to start swimming laps because your hot body begs to cool down and now the muscles are ready to swim. Wear goggles by the way. Swim laps any style: freestyle, breast stroke, back stroke, doggy style while you let your imagination drift into a meditative mood. Keep this up for about a half hour. Jump out of pool and slide slowly again into the hot tub for ten minutes.
Next sit in the sauna for ten minutes, and while warming up drink 32 oz. of cool water in the container that you brought from home. Soon skin pores open to release body toxins while you quench your thirst and hydrate your body. After ten minutes in sauna, it is time for the shower and shampoo, perhaps a loofa skin scrub. Make shower temperature moderate while you bubble the body. A loofa scrub stimulates the epidermis.
That's all to delightfully recharge yourself with this moderate swim routine. Guaranteed to revive even the most exhausted body. If you make this a routine, you may begin to glow and certainly you will feel invigorated.
