Recently ousted 'Bachelor’ contestant Renee Oteri is already engaged

Juan Pablo Galavis may have broken her heart on this week’s hometown date episode of “The Bachelor,” but reality star Renee Oteri is already engaged to another guy, according to a March 1 report from Us Weekly.

The 32-year-old single mom rekindled her romance with a former flame she knew before the show, which wrapped in October.

An insider told the celeb gossip magazine that Oteri’s fiance is someone “everyone wanted to see her with,” and revealed that he’s known her 8-year-old son Ben since he was a baby. Oteri is expected to move to Seattle to be with her new man.

Earlier this week on his blog for People, Galavis revealed that he almost sent contestant Andi Dorfman home and took Oteri to the fantasy suite overnight dates in St. Lucia: “Letting Renee go was very difficult. I almost sent Andi home, but I went with the stronger connection instead of who I thought had more feelings for me,” he wrote.

Galavis also dished that Renee was the woman who reminded him the most of himself when he was a contestant on “The Bachelorette.”

“She never tried to show me something she was not,” he wrote. “She never tried to impress me or get involved in drama. She helped everyone and showed the maturity of being a mother and was realistic about the situation. “

Oteri’s newly announced engagement means she definitely won’t be the franchise’s next “Bachelorette” star, giving even more credibility to rumors that Dorfman will take on the role.

The next star of "The Bachelorette" will officially be announced during the “After the Final Rose” special on March 10 on ABC.
