The celebration took place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. serving heavy appetizers and alcoholic drinks. Did you know? UBER offered a $25 dollar free ride just for new “TIMEWARP” users of there drivers of vehicles for hire and ridesharing services. The creative imagination could be explored on all levels of the Fillmore during Yelp's Time Warp costume party because each floor was set in a different time period.

  1. Bottom Bar: The Psychedelic 60's
  2. Main Level: The Nostalgic 90's
  3. Top Level: The Fabulous Future

On the bottom level guests enjoyed a bar, The Suite Barbershop featuring a hair stylist for complimentary colorful hair extensions, Yelp free sun shades inside a huge old floor model television, hand washing station and samples sponsored by SoapBox Soaps and Spa Mesu was offering up sweet candy treats and spa treatment discounts.

The main level consists of two enormous bars on both sides of the room. First step was a Fillmore sponsored table full of free musical swag like posters, CDs, pins and upcoming concert tickets. Next was the free food which was delicious from Sabai Sabai Simply Thai drunken noodles, the tasty tacos at South Meets East and the vegan bites at The Randy Radish. The red blow-up lounge chairs were so uniquely cool. Pretzel Crisps was in the building with so many different varieties of pretzels, Buffalo Wings was my favorite flavor of pretzels for the evening. The Transylvanian Concubines stage performance was off the chain entertaining. Wow that goat cheese and chicken wraps from High Point Events was unforgettable. My fiancé and I got matching temporary airbrushed tattoos from Airbrush Unlimited Group. Caramel candy from Velatis, child please so charming they are. All The Hits 107-3 had a great costume photo booth and lots of Taylor Swift swag and radio t-shirts. There was even a Yelp sponsored table with Yelp swag from lip balm, tinned peppermints and t-shirts. DJ Hazzard was playing live music that had attendees’ electric sliding, warping and wobbling all night long. The DC Brau and Deep Eddy Vodka were flowing from every corner of the building.

The top level was so VIP engaging with a great view of the main level complete with a bar, Yelp swag bags and casual bench & table seating for private entertainment. The Pop Chips sample bag chart was lip-smacking. The coolest part of it all was the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club spinning wheel complete was great giveaways like hats, t-shirts and gift cards. Guests enjoyed a Krave Jerky sampling station. Pinkies Lash Boutique served up complimentary fake eye lash treatments. Lebanese Taverna offered delectable curry chicken and rice. They even had Tropical Ice Cream Café dishing out mini ice cream on a cone. Oh, yeah relaxing massages was performed by Blush Med Institute employees.

During the celebration attendees were also given free neon bracelets and necklaces to light up the night. Oh, did I mention there was a costume contest whereas, best male and female costume winners walked away with beautiful trophies from Bud Miller Associates.

Talk about one of the coolest coziest most comfortable places to be on a Wednesday night in Silver Spring, Maryland. Who knew Silver Spring was so much fun? Although, I depicted just a glimpse inside such a wonderful night of adventure; let me not forget to tell you this event was put together all in the name of charity for Cornerstone Montgomery and event attendees made a $10 donation for admission to the Yelp's Time Warp costume party. Lastly, I remember there was a five charity raffle whereas; neighborhood businesses donated gift cards and certificates to support Cornerstone Montgomery.

Did you know? Cornerstone Montgomery has helped hundreds of residents in Montgomery County who suffer from persistent and severe mental illness; Cornerstone has offices and residences throughout Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Silver Spring.
