The 6th Annual Shorty Awards, held at the TimesCenter (41st and 8th) in NYC on Monday, featured raunchy, uproarious comedian Natasha Leggero as host, and was off to a crazy start from the moment she opened her mouth.
The presenters were awesome this year, with comedian Gilbert Gottfried, “Parks and Recreation” actress Retta, hilarious actor/comedian Matt Walsh, the “King of Partying” Andrew W.K., and many more taking the stage.

Social media has become an integral part of a company’s marketing strategy, and the insights they provide allow brands to better serve their target audiences. For instance, eco-friendly jewelry retailer Alex and Ani were able to increase their ROI by 80% by utilizing eBay Enterprise and adopting cutting-edge technology such as the Kenshoo social platform. Alex and Ani was nominated for the Shorty’s Best Facebook Campaign Award.
Greg Galant, CEO and co-founder of Sawhouse Media (the company behind the Shorty’s), stated that the awards will continue to grow as social media develops.
“Social media is always changing,” Galant told Examiner.com. “Last year, Vine didn’t exist, Instagram Video didn’t exist. This year, they were both centerpieces of the ceremony. On the one hand, we know it’s going to keep growing. Social media only gets bigger and bigger. We also know it’s going to keep changing. We’re working now to adjust it.”
