Old Man's Pants was a huge success on Friday at the Handmade in Colorado Expo at Skyline Park, downtown Denver. During the time this writer was there visiting their quaint stand at the Hand Made in Colorado event, they were constantly busy - potential customers could be heard commenting on how cute the hats were while trying on the different styles available.
Heather Holland and her husband Andy, owners of Old Man's Pants, brought Old Man's Pants to Colorado via Heather's sister Summer who recently relocated to Colorado. Both of the women are very talented seamstresses and will collaborate their talent and time to make Denver a second home for Old Man's Pants.
Heather and Andy Holland both worked in the drywall industry when the bottom fell out of construction. Heather, who grew up sewing, made an adorable hat that everyone wanted to buy off of her head. Andy said, "sell it, we'll make more." The hats soon became the family's source of income. Click here to read the previous article on Old Man's Pants.
Children and infants hats are also available for purchase and would make a warm head covering for winter. Included with the flapper style hat are your choice of three different colored flowers to change the look a bit.
They are planning a few more shows as follows:
