Vince Camuto stays one step ahead of the trend when he presents his collections and should be considered 'the it designer for beautiful bejeweled footwear.’ His designs are elegant, classic and provocative. His most popular styes are his embellished shoes and sandals which range anywhere from $75 to $200. There is something for everyone in his collections.
Vince Camuto made an personal appearance at Dillards in Dallas, TX last week and what an exciting event. The shoe salon pumped with music and models styled to perfection sporting Camuto’s stylish kicks. He spent the afternoon with Dallas fashionista’s signing autographs as well as highlighting the key trends in summer footwear, accessories and sportswear.
Camuto sat down with Texas Monthly Magazine this month to do a Q&A session about his visit to Dallas and his designs. Here is a portion of that Q&A session:
Q: What is your impression of Texas women?
A: Attractive, feminine, with great style. I also find them to be very friendly.
Q: What’s the must-have Vince Camuto shoe?
A: It is hard to pick one shoe. My favorites are the jeweled flats like the Mallory. I also love the new styles the Missie and the Moda.
Q: What is your inspiration?
A: Inspiration is everywhere. I’ll find it in architecture----whether in New York City or Dallas----new restaurants, hotels (for materials and textures), and vintage shops.
Q: What will be your favorite look for fall?
A: Ankle boots, straight heels, and lace up booties with setback heels.
