On Wednesday & Thursday, 16th to the 17th of October in 2013, NeoCon East 2013 in Baltimore hosted an exclusive upscale commercial design tradeshow for 250 top-notch exhibitors across several vertical markets in the USA. It was the biggest commercial design tradeshow of this Fall at the Baltimore Convention Center. Who knew one establishment could hold so much commercial design in one building. NeoCon East is a one stop shop for everything commercial design ranging the region’s preeminent architects, designers, facility managers, dealers/distributors and purchasing managers. Talk about a cool place for buyers of goods and services to get educated, informed and entertained while engaging in no-nonsense business, making key connections and participating in conversation about great design.
Senior Vice President of MMPI Susan McCullough, remarked, “We are so grateful to our exhibitors and attendees for making this year’s NeoCon East such a success. Naturally, we had some concerns about the government shutdown and the fact that it legally prevented some from attending. The truth is that the show has evolved over the years to be more like its sister show NeoCon. In addition to the GSA, NeoCon East exhibitors, conferences and attendees work across all of the commercial markets. We knew we would have a strong show despite the circumstances.”
The celebration took place over a two day period with over 7,000 quality attendees that gathered to the show to see its 250 distintive exhibitors, make valuable business connections and take advantage of its many educational opportunities, including inspiring presentations by superlative keynotes Michael Graves and Suzanne Tick. The coolest part of it all was a complimentary Michael Graves poster signing not to mention the in-person social networking, touch and feel of goods for sale and friendly, helpful service merchants. Be sure to check out my photo slideshow for a glimpse into NeoCon East 2013. I must admit this was one of the cleanest, most well put together trade-shows; I have ever attended. Talk about white carpet that stayed white throughout the duration of the show! The theme of the event was centered around chairs and comfort. Talk about some of the most innovative design in chairs suited for higher education, corporate and commercial businesses, religious organizations, hospitals and government buyers alike.
