Building Operating Management’s hosted an exclusive National Facilities Management and Technology Show in Maryland. It was the biggest building operating management show with over 5,500 facilities professionals from around the world. Who knew one establishment could hold so much news and product information for facility managers. NFMT 2014 was a one stop shop for everything from 120 educational sessions, an enormous exhibit hall with vendor partners offering cost-saving facility management solutions, leadership speaking strategies sessions and networking events.

Yep, the NFMT 2014 show took place for 3-days offering adaptable technical facilities management training, innovative product discovery and unrestricted networking events. I can honestly tell this year’s show was so personally and professionally planned with the average Joe & Jane in mind; full of layman term guidelines. Whereas; informative & innovative products and services as seen here were offered in the NFMT Exhibit Hall. The educational sessions offered some of the most recent standards and procedures concerning the art of maintaining successful strategies for efficiency, innovation and profitability facilities. You should know, I overheard several attendees state that the, “Employment Law Issues Forum” and the “Complaints: How to Deal with the Negativity” were definitely notable educational sessions worth sharing with their co-workers and office staff.

I have attended several National Facilities Management and Technology shows in past. Nevertheless, NFMT 2014 was one of the most diversity and down-to-earth FM themed events around with great advice and insight from FM industry experts. Although, the weather permitted NFMT 2014 from not being as jam packed as, I have seen in previous years. Nevertheless, I overheard several female attendee’s ranting and raving about how cool the, Women in Facilities Management 2014 panel and reception sponsored by Sodexo; was such a great networking event for the women and gender equality supporters that attended NFMT 2014. Oh, did I mention President Bob Wisniewski of the National Facilities Management and Technology Show was in attendance such a great guy for putting together such a great resource for the FM industry.

The coolest part of NFMT 2014 was all the never-ending networking and daily cash prizes. The daily $1000 cash prizes were well appreciated from excited attendee winners. One $1000 winner stated he was using his winning to pay for his trip to this year’s NFMT show expenses generated from traveling to Baltimore. The $50 hourly exhibit hall cash prizes were gratefully appreciated by excited attendees whom stated they would use their winning to enjoy a night out on the town in Baltimore.

Did you know? The complimentary lunch tickets was flowing from every corner of the Exhibit Hall with lively discusses among attendees and exhibits; the networking party was so yummy whereas, the hors d'oeuvres range from a taco making food station, buffalo wing food station and their infamous pulled pork food station. Draft beer stations made a memorable evening for the NFMT networking affair.

This is definitely a trade-show worth attending so; mark your calendar for March 10-12, 2015 where the National Facilities Management and Technology Show will be back in Baltimore once again. Click here to become a NFMT member today because NFMT membership definitely has it's perks.
