On Thursday the 14th of February in 2013, The Walter’s Art Museum hosted an exclusive celebration for Valentine’s Day in Baltimore. It was the best Valentine’s Day party that, I have ever attended in Baltimore. Who knew a museum could hold so much festive fun in one place. For one evening the Sculpture Court at the Walter’s was a one stop shop for singles, couples and anyone with love in their heart for there special edition of Constellation Thursday Nights.
The celebration took place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. serving specialty priced cocktails & punch alongside complimentary hors d'oeuvres. The love was flowing from every corner of the building with spicy hors d'oeuvres ranging from eggrolls, crab cakes to chicken on a stick and the signature punch for the evening was mixed with champagne. Yeah they spiked the punch! The coolest part of it all was during the celebration attendees were allowed to shop and browse through the museum for a short but sweet romance-inspired love tour. Oh, did I mention the heart-shaped candies & chocolate treats were in abundance. It was a little of all types of Baltimoreans in the building from all walks of life mixing & mingling and having a good time.
I even overheard several guests state that the museum was decorated lively in lights, leather and luxury linens. The lights brimming from the wall columns were lively arranged and changed colors which was so cool. The white leather lounge sofas even had lights attached on the lower trim of them. Never a dull beat, DJ JMack of ForQuaters Collective was rocking successful with a mixture of tunes from all genders, ethnicities and cultures. This truly was a jumpin’ party. Although, I made a prior Valentine’s Day dinner arrangement with lobster on the menu. This was a party I did not want to end.
