On Thursday the 19th of June in 2014, Downtown Partnership in Baltimore hosted an exclusive happy hour gathering at Nando’s Peri Peri in the Bromo Tower Arts & Entertainment District for its annual “Downtown 101: An Insider’s Guide to Baltimore” celebration. It was the biggest local young professional gathering of this Summer in downtown Baltimore. Who knew one establishment could hold so excitement and entertainment in one restaurant. Downtown 101: An Insider’s Guide to Baltimore was a one stop shop for everything concerning Baltimore city trends, development news, entertainment options and the best discovery on where to live, work and play in downtown Baltimore. Talk about an awesome Charm City moment!

The celebration took place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. serving heavy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and wine. The African bird's eye chili was flowing from every corner of the building; the hors d'oeuvres range from their signature hot and spicy chicken to vegetable wraps, Nando’s inspired appetizers and the signature cocktail for the evening was their Red Sangria which was memorable.

The coolest part of it all was the festive musical environment with cozy leather lounge chairs and the networking was informative and fun. The guest list included an abundant of local young Baltimore professionals which included new hires, interns, summer associates and recent college graduates. During the celebration attendees were allowed to get information from local organizations such as; Live Baltimore, Zipcar, SMC Baltimore, Bozzuto and Baltimore Beach that were willing to share their downtown Baltimore insights and help attendees get involved in the downtown Baltimore community. Oh, did I mention cool prizes were be raffled off like hotel stays and local restaurant gift cards.

Nando’s Peri Peri is such a cozy comfortable networking place to enjoy some of the best African ethnic food in Maryland.
