Hussong Manufacturing Co., Inc. in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall on products using the American Flame Intermittent Pilot Ignition (IPI) Main Control Module. These parts were installed in Kozy Heat brand Ambiance, and Big Woods Hearth direct vent gas fireplaces and sold and installed across the United States through Hearth retail stores.

Under certain environmental conditions the American Flame Main Control Module as used in the 22 affected fireplace and fireplace insert models can prematurely release burner gas, which may result in a delayed ignition and pose an explosion hazard. Kozy Heat, Ambiance, and Big Woods Hearth Products fireplaces manufactured from October 2009 to April 2013 are the affected models.

The model can be located on the cover of the owner's manual or the test label located next to the gas valve. Kozy Heat models include Chaska, Chaska XL, Jackson, Jackson XL, Jordan, Jordan XL, Minneapolis, Minneapolis XL, Rockford, Rockford XL, Nicollet, Dassel, Delano, Princeton, Thief River Falls, Minnetonka, Trimont, and Slayton 42. Ambiance Fireplace models are Intrigue 100 and Intrigue 200. Stellar Hearth Products models are CML-58-S and CTL058-S.

Affected Model Numbers: CSK-31-IPI, CSK-335-IPI, 911-IPI, 911XL-IPI, JOR-30, JOR-34, MPS-30, MPS-34, RFD-30, RFD-34, NCL-195, DSL-36-IPI, DEL-36-IPI, PRC-36-IPI, 56701-IPI, 55345-IPI, TMT-3875-IPI, SLA-42, INT-100, INT-200, CML-58-S, CML58-S.
