Recall the good old days of Top 40 radio by listening to these airchecks

The glory years of Top 40 radio are fading into yesteryear, but memories of that era can still be recalled and refreshed by listening to airchecks.

So just what are airchecks? They are, in general, demonstration recordings often designed to reflect the talent of a radio announcer or disc jockey, and they usually include not only what the DJ said at the time but also what else was on the air (commercials, jingles and newscasts, etc.) at the time the recording was made.

Some airchecks of certain DJs or station programming are highly valued by collectors because of nostalgia reasons. And some who were past fans of Top 40 radio enjoy listening to airchecks that contain segments of programming from stations they heard and enjoyed when they were teenagers or young adults.
