Recall of Florida distributed non-alcoholic malta

Today, the FDA announced that The Florida Brewery, Inc is recalling specific lots of several Florida distributed brands of non-alcoholic malta beverages due to potential injuries from the glass bottles.

These are Goya, Great Value, Hatuey, Mr. Special, Polar, Publix, Regal, and SuperMax brands. The concern is that glass on the outside of the 7 ounce bottles could break when the twist-off cap is removed, cutting the mouth of anyone drinking from them.

After two consumers reported such injuries, Florida Brewery initiated an investigation as well as the voluntary recall.

Anyone who has purchased these lots should return the bottles to the place of purchase where they will receive a refund, product replacement, coupon or credit.
