On August 19, 2010, Lan Enterprises and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a voluntary recall of roughly 3,700 Zooper Tango Double Strollers.

According to a release by the CPSC, strollers may collapse without warning upon impact with any object due to failure by the frame latch above the front wheels. The result is minor scrapes, cuts and bruises. To date, there have been 185 incident reports of frame latch failures.

This recall includes models sold during 2007 and 2008 with a model number of SL808B and SL808F. The model numbers appear on the original packaging, but not on the unit itself. The strollers were produced from January 1, 2007 through April 30, 2008 and those dates should appear on the warning labels attached to the seats on affected models.

The product was manufactured in China and sold at children's product and mass merchandise retailers nationwide and on the Babies R' Us website between January 2007 and August 2008, retailing for between $400-$430.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission is urging anyone in possession of this product to immediately stop using it and contact Zooper USA to receive a free repair kit. Zooper USA can be reached at (888) 966-7379 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (PT) Monday - Friday or visit the Zooper website.

The CPSC is still accepting incident and injury reports and urges anyone who believes that they may be a victim of an incident regarding this product to report it by visiting their website.
