On August 5, 2010, Au’some Inc. has issued a voluntary recall for Tranformers Crunchy Candies due to a high lead content as was determined by tests done by the California Department of Public Health, Food & Drug Branch. There have been no reported illnesses from the product to date.

This particular batch (lot number “09168”), was sold only at ''99 Cents Only'' stores and distributed only in California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas. The recall is only on 4.5 oz packages (UPC # 66097311718-3). The candy’s lot number, “09168”, will appear on the back of the package.

If you currently have candy from this lot number, you are encouraged to return it to the retailer where you bought it where you will be issued a full refund or product replacement.
