Ellijay native Danny McWilliams didn't think small when he decided to make a replica of The Nautilus from Walt Disney's version of Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
It took over a year and is over 36 feet long. This true labor of love is a thing of beauty.
On Sunday, January 18, The Artifice Club, an Atlanta-based organization which boosts steampunk and other retro-futurist and alternate history projects in arts and entertainment, had a photo shoot at the Nautilus. CONography, photographers who specialize in cosplay, steampunk, horror, and anime, graciously gave me permission to share some of the amazing photos they took of the Nautilus and some of the Artifice Club members in costume.
