In a March 20 interview with BuzzFeed, star on the rise and all-around funny girl, Rebel Wilson dished on her upcoming stint as host of the MTV Movie Awards and made the passing comment that, not only would she “love” to be in an upcoming installment of “The Hunger Games”, but she has actually met, presumably with producers, to discuss a role.
In response to the question “Ooh, would we ever see you in a role in The Hunger Games?”
“Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in The Hunger Games. Yes.”
Wilson was fairly mum on any additional details, stating simply, “It was one of the people in the capitol. That's all I'll say.” The “Bridesmaids” scene stealer said it would be “awesome” to join Jennifer Lawrence and company.
In the same interview, Wilson told BuzzFeed she would name JLaw sexiest woman alive. The pair have met and Wilson shared her singularly unique impressions of the girl on fire.
“I met her at a party and she was super-duper nice. She's really quite tall. Which I found — I don't know if you get that impression when you see her in movies, but she's quite tall. Yeah, and she's just really nice and I love The Hunger Games and I can't wait for the new one to come out.”
It sounds as if any appearance from Wilson would be something of a bit part--and presumably would come into play during one installment of “Mockingjay”, but Panem certainly ranks on the list of fictional realms that could do with a bit of levity, so we’re calling the possibility of Wilson joining the cast a consummation devoutly to be wished.
