For Spring 2014, designer Rebecca Taylor took a modern sporty approach. Her collection consisted of feminine looks with a few masculine touches. Overall, the collection displayed a play on proportion, emphasizing a care-free feeling. Silhouettes in the collection included cropped tops, full trousers, parka/moto inspired jackets and teacup skirts. Fabrications ranged from light washed denim patchwork, poplin shirting, lace, knits and leather. Colors spotted on the Rebecca Taylor runway included neutrals of pale grey and sage green, cayenne, nudes and robin's egg blue.
The models were sent down the runway in beauty looks that were full on 90's grunge. Tresses were styled in textured waves by Rutger for Oribe, while Sil Bruinsma for Mac Cosmetics, created makeup looks with dark, kohl-rimmed eyes. Manicurist Keri Blair for Mac Cosmetics combined hot pink and bold red hues to create a raspberry hue for models nails.
