BPMPR announced today, Jan. 19 that the runway event, “The Reality of FASHION The Reality of AIDS,” is officially set for Sat., Feb. 9 in New York City. The runway event will feature top reality T.V. stars that will come together to raise awareness and funds about the reality of AIDS.
The CDC estimates that there are 300,000 people in the United States who are unaware that they are infected with HIV/AIDS. “The Reality of FASHION The Reality of AIDS” fashion fundraiser aims to raise awareness about the astonishing number of infected people and funds toward HIV/AIDS education.
Although the subject matter could be no more serious, the event itself is bound to be enlightening and fun with reality stars like Deena Cortese of The Jersey Shore set to walk. Deena will be joined on the runway by, Ramona Singer, Lil Kim, Janice Dickinson, Ramona Rizzo, Malaysia Pargo, Briella Calafiore, Sheree Whitfield, Alex McCord, Brittany Brower, Tiffany "New York" Pollard, and many other interesting reality T.V. alumni.
The featured designer for the evening will be NYC based Dominique Auxilly who has dressed celebrity names such as Nicki Minaj, Coco Austin, and Tamar Braxton. Couture pieces worn by the ladies will be auctioned following the show. Official stylist for the event will be Julianne Costigan.
