Reality star, talk-show host Bethenny Frankel files for divorce from Jason Hoppy (Video)

Former RHONY star-gone-talk-show host Bethenny Frankel, 42, has filed to divorce her husband and "baby daddy," Jason Hoppy, 44, according to emerging media reports.

The one-time "Real Housewives of New York" and "Bethenny Ever After" star seemingly got it all before Bravo-TV viewers' eyes: a dream boyfriend-turned-husband, an over-the-top wedding of her dreams and a beautiful baby girl, Bryn -- never mind that she also parlayed her Skinnygirl cocktail idea into a big-money empire in what seemed to be an overnight success story.

On Dec. 23, 2012, however, this Pop Culture Examiner first reported that Frankel had formally filed for separation from Hoppy, but fans were hopeful the couple would sort out their issues in time.

When the news broke, Frankel issued a statement, saying, "It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that, as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family. ... This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."

Since then, though, the soon-to-be single mom of one has made a dash toward permanent Splitsville from the easy-to-like Hoppy by filing a summons for divorce in New York, a move that's the first step in the divorce process, according to a Jan. 5 report from TMZ.com.

On Saturday, Frankel -- who has been spending extra mommy-daughter bonding time with Bryn -- tweeted this missive: "To those of you who are being supportive: thank you. To those of you who are judging: I totally get it."

Per a Jan. 4 report from RadarOnline, Frankel -- after spending Christmas with Hoppy and their daughter -- took Bryn to Aspen,, Colo., to escape the Big Apple and afford Hoppy time to move this things out of their shared home there.

"Jason is in the process of moving out of their $5 million pad," a RadarOnline source revealed. "It's not a healthy situation for them to be leaving under the same roof together because Bethenny doesn't intend on getting back together with him."

Moreover, continued the anonymous source, "Bethenny wanted out of the Big Apple since announcing her separation to Jason. ... Jason didn't want Bethenny to go to Aspen for New Year's and wanted to spend time with his wife and daughter, but she refused. Jason's entire world has been turned upside down, and he is absolutely lost right now."

Wed in March 2010, the marriage is Hoppy's first and Frankel's second. ... In the meantime, here's still hoping this couple will take time apart and find one another again, just as another "Real Housewife" and her ex-turned-fiancé have recently done.
