Real-world Learning with VCU's Executive MBA Program

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) offers a 20-month Executive MBA program right here in Richmond, VA.  The program is a great way to build your expertise and knowledge about business processes and stay current on new ideas.  If you are a rising executive with a bachelor's degree, you should consider this every-other-weekend Executive MBA.  The VCU School of Business is accredited by the AACSB, which helps ensure standards of academic quality.

The VCU Executive MBA program builds on seven modules to integrate multi-disciplinary learning with actual business issues and scenarios.  The modules are Team Building and Leadership, Business Foundations, Analysis and Decision Making, Organization Culture, Global Challenges, Productivity and Innovation, and Strategic Management.  Students will receive practical insights into business operations, skills to enhance leadership, an understanding of financial analysis, and information about organizational development and change management.

There are several advantages to a fast track Executive MBA program over a traditional MBA program, which typically builds on information "silos" made up of accounting, finance, economics, information systems, marketing, management, and electives.  Using an integrated modular approach, courses are designed with cross-knowledge applications to actual business requirements.  For example, Module 7 includes guest speakers and a trip to Washington, DC., to see a real-life example of business at work.

The VCU Executive MBA provides a means to develop networking and relationships with business leaders and academic professionals.  The courses will prepare managers and leaders for greater service to their organizations and community.  If you are considering returning to school for your MBA, the VCU Executive MBA program might be exactly the type of forward-thinking opportunity you are looking for.

Enrollment for the 2014 VCU Executive MBA class begins February 15, 2012 and continues through April 22, 2012.  Classes begin in August 2012.  If you are interested, fill out the reservation form and application form.  Three recommendation letters are required as well as GMAT exam information or the GMAT alternative and official transcripts.  A handy checklist is also available.
