FiAA, a European games publisher, has announced The Bible Online, a new browser-based, free-to-play MMORTS.
The first portion of the game, called "Chapter 1 - The Heroes," is based on the book of Genesis from the Bible, putting players in the role of Abraham as they reenact events from the religious text through both main quests and side quests.
Looking similar to games such as Evony and Lords Online, players will manage a tribe, building villages, managing resources, and interacting with other players through both diplomacy and warfare. Unlike other RTS games, however, players will change locations several times on their quest to the Promised Land.
The president of FiAA GmbH, Dr. Alan Kim, said in a press release, "The Bible Online is developed for players of all ages to easily get closer to the Bible, while enjoying the game. . . We will also develop following chapters to cover all the stories of the Bible."
The beta for The Bible Online will begin on September 6th. More information can be found at the official website.
