Yeah you read the title right. I’m serious. Real Steel, when I began watching it over at my friend’s house via Satellite TV this past weekend only brought one thing to mind.
It’s a movie about Rock’em Sock’em Robots. And it made me wonder, what other games they’re going to produce as movies. Lately we’ve seen a small trend emerging from games, and being sent to movies. Not unlike back in the 1980s when we saw the movie entitled “The Wizard” which was basically a giant promo for Nintendo, and “The Super Mario Brothers” which was a movie that was a live action version of the video game we had all come to love.
So here we are again, with another set of games being brought into the mix for movies, and it makes you actually wonder, if they can make these games into movies, why not Shoot’s and Ladders, or Candyland… oh wait. Candyland was a movie and a book…. Called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. ROFL.
