Real men don't hurt animals

Baltimore, MD - The following is an idea which needs to catch fire and spread throughout the nation...men, showing their soft side.

Men showing that they are real men because they are compassionate instead of violent.

The "Show your Soft Side" campaign was founded back in 2008 in an effort to combat ever-increasing acts of animal abuse in Baltimore.

The Mayor's anti-animal abuse advisory commission set out to change the mindset of young people who seek to harm innnocent cats and dogs to prove their "manhood".

Through print ads and billboards, the campaign reaches out to youth in the area, showing them that real men have a soft side - real men show compassion.

Only a punk would hurt an innocent animal.

The ads offer real men for youth in this area to look up to - real men to emulate.

Please join me in "Liking" the Show your Soft Side Facebook page - then send this story on to a friend and ask them to do the same.

Accolades to those who are actively reaching out into their community to make a change.

These are real people, making a real impact.

Of special note - check out the excellent photos by Leo Howard Lubow which feature real men - real athletes (unlike the infamous dog-fighting legend Michael Vick) who are kind to animals.

True role-models.

Officials in other cities - please take note of this wonderful committee and the good that they are accomplishing.

For those who want to see something like this in their own town - consider emailing this story to your own city's mayor.

Help spread a good fire!
