Real Madrid and Manchester City both appear to have their hearts set on finding a way to procure the services of Uruguayan attacker Edinson Cavani from Italian Serie A side Napoli this winter. Recent reports from TalkSport on Jan. 10, 2013 have the player linked with a major money move to either the Etihad Stadium or the Santiago Bernabeu in the coming weeks.
Napoli have been on the rise once more in the Serie A this season as they push for a continued life in the top European tournaments alongside of the games elite as they hope to recapture their glory days.
However, the club has no real way of competing with the type of financial backing that both Real Madrid and Manchester City both poses and a massive offer for the player could likely be to much to pass up as they would have to consider the amount of good a big transfer profit could do for them in the long run.
Cavani will be a huge move, but if there is nothing settled in January he is still likely to be taking his leave from the Neapolitan club in the 2013 summer window.
