Real Housewives of New York season 6 has finally gotten its much anticipated start date. After much speculation over who would return, who would get the boot, and who may be added, fans are finally getting a couple of answers.
"Right now, filming is tentatively set to start in early April," a source told Wetpaint Entertainment on February 4. "It’s believed everyone will be coming back with the addition of at least one new cast member, possibly two." Wow, it there is two more wives coming to the show, that'll bring the total to 8 wives which is a lot for one franchise and three more than the series started off with.
As for why filming isn't starting sooner, the report claims that producers wanted a more fashionable cast and during the winter months, they are more limited. "No one wants to see the women bundled up in winter coats and bulky clothing," a second source explained. "Having them in spring dresses and warm weather outfits just makes for a sexier-looking show. Plus, they don’t start spending any real time in the Hamptons until spring." And what would the Real Housewives of New York be without the Hamptons?
The source adds, "Filming should begin in early April and run through the fall."
So far, no premiere date has been set but it will likely be back on Bravo in the late summer or early fall.
