‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ season 9: Cast changes, friendships tested

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” ninth season brings cast changes, new faces and old friendships will be put to the test. The original “RHOOC” Vicki Gunvalson is back, along with on-again-off-again-on-again boyfriend Brooks Ayers.

Bravo released a preview of the new season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” on March 12 and it seems there is going to be a lot of excitement. Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino are not returning for “RHOOC” season nine. Also not returning is Lydia McLauglin, who joined the cast during the eighth season.

One new face fans will see is Lizzie Rovsek, a former beauty queen who says people tend to judge her before they even meet her. In the clip, Vicki says, “I don’t know whether to look at her tits, her lips or her eyeballs.” Tamra Judge calls Lizzie a “sex kitten”.

Enter Shannon Beador, who is a self-described “health nut” but also seems to have a dash of obsessive compulsive disorder thrown in. In the clip she is heard telling her husband that the arrangement on the table needs to have nine lemons in there at all times. “Maybe that’s why the feng shui is off” she says to her husband when she discovers that there are not nine lemons in the arrangement.

All does not seem well between Tamra and Vicki again this year, or between Vicki and her daughter Briana. In the clip Tamra says, “Vicki is a hypocrite, she’s going to bring everyone else into it instead of just herself.” Briana confronts Vicki about her relationship with Brooks Ayers, calling it an abusive relationship.

The ninth season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” begins on Monday, April 14 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
