‘Real Housewives of NYC:’ Ramona Singer files for divorce

On Wednesday January 29th, 2014, reality TV star of the hit Bravo TV show ‘Real Housewives of NYC’ Ramona Singer filed for divorce from her husband, Mario, after 22-years of marriage. There have been cheating rumors surrounding the couple for months and yesterday Ramona Singer confirmed via Twitter she has filed for divorce.

Rumors had been circulating for months that Mario was carrying on an affair with 27-year-old named Kasey Dexter. It was reported from a source close to Singer "Ramona had no idea about Kasey until the [New York] Post ran the story about Mario getting another woman pregnant over the summer."

This past weekend, Ramona reportedly caught Mario spending time with his girlfriend at the couple's Hamptons home. "She saw him there with the girlfriend and made a big scene and called the police," … "She did not want a divorce. Ramona loves her life. She loves Mario."

Ramona Singer sent out the following Twitter message regarding the divorce, “Thank you all for the love & support! For my daughter [Avery]'s sake, I would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy during this difficult time."

In past seasons on the ‘Real Housewives of NYC’ Ramona Singer often stated in private interviews on camera, to her co-stars and to her daughter that a women needs to make her own money and be self sufficient. Currently Ramona Singer has a skincare line, jewelry line and recently came out with her own line of wine.
