While they were filming the third season of the show, Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Bensimon weren’t exactly the best of friends. During the last trip of the season when the women went to St. John, Kelly ended up leaving early because of much of the drama. However, according to a new Gather report released on Jan. 9, “The Real Housewives of New York” star Kelly Bensimon is now speaking out on Bethenny’s divorce and she is surprisingly being very supportive. Sure, Kelly may not be calling Bethenny to go for lunch anytime soon, but she does explain that she feels horrible for Bethenny over her failed marriage.
“I feel so bad for her," “The Real Housewives of New York” star Kelly Bensimon has revealed in a new interview with E! News. "But she's a strong woman. She's an incredibly strong woman. I wish them both well. Jason is a very nice man, very solid." It is surprising that Kelly is being supportive of Bethenny as she is going through this tough time. On the other hand, Kelly has gone through a divorce as she split from her husband Gilles Bensimon prior to filming “The Real Housewives of New York,” so she knows the pain of feeling like a failure when it comes to a marriage.
In addition, Alex McCord has also reached out to Bethenny. The two grew close while filming the third season of the show, and Alex was even present at her wedding and planned the mini-bachelorette party she had. “I hope they can resolve their divorce with as little acrimony and press as possible,” Alex has said. One has to wonder if any of her co-stars from “The Real Housewives of New York” are reaching out to Bethenny at this time.
