Jacqueline Laurita, one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” has been slapped with a massive tax lien by the state of New Jersey, according to a Mar. 2, 2013 TMZ report.
The tabloid website notes that the NJ Division of Taxation’s lien says the reality TV star owes exactly $338,337.05, but does not indicate for which time period the money is owed.
If she does not pay the debt, the state has the option of going after any assets she may have, reports TMZ.
Several women who have starred on the NJ version of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise have suffered dire financial straits in the past few years. According to the report, former “housewife” Danielle Staub, and current cast member, Teresa Giudice, are both “in the middle of bankruptcy.”
The Inquisitr reports that the popular show is currently filming its fifth season of the show that had its debut in May 2009.
