There are tears for Joe and Teresa Giudice in part 2 of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion for season 5. According to spoilers posted by Wetpaint Oct. 7, the cast's reaction to the idea that the Giudices could go to prison for money and bank fraud is seen.
A somber and emotional reunion plays out in part 2 when everyone is asked to evaluate the reality of Joe and Teresa possibly going to prison.
Andy asks Joe Gorga if he thinks about his sister going to prison.
"Am I worried? Of course," he answers. "You think of the worst. They have four little girls there, y'know?"
Melissa feels terrible for the Giudice's daughters when it's on her mind.
"I'm sad for them — I'm sad for the girls," she says. "I'm sorry — I don't wanna make a big deal. It's sad — when you look at the little girls sitting there, you feel bad."
"I know she's got to be scared, and I know their family has to be hurting," Jacqueline Laurita chimes in as she wipes tears from her eyes.
Teresa feels misunderstood when people accuse her of faking her emotions. The "RHONJ" star put up a good front, but she's more worried than people realize.
"Everyone says, 'Oh, she hides her emotions, she's faking it,'" Teresa says. "Believe me — does this bother me? Of course this bothers me, I'm human. I mean, if I say it didn't bother me, I would be lying."
She adds, "Y'know, since this happened, there's a lot of nights that I cry myself to sleep."
Teresa is tired of people knocking her for being strong, but she doesn't want to concern her family.
"I just put a smile on my face every day, and I don't want them to feel any pain," she explained.
The Giudices are charged with 39 counts of financial, loan, and tax fraud. If convicted, they could spend decades in prison. The couple continue to maintain their innocence and live as though nothing has changed. In one "RHONJ" clip, Joe Giudice said if they go to prison, his brother and sister will keep their children. Neither he nor Teresa want the Gorgas raising their daughters because of what they've said about them on the show.
Be sure to tune into part 2 of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion when it airs Sunday, Oct. 13 on Bravo.
