"Real Housewives of Miami" star Alexia Echevarria has filed a $2 million lawsuit against Garcia Lorenzo & Associates. TMZ reported on Jan. 20 that Echevarria claims the insurance company left out an important piece of coverage that would have protected her in the case of her 13-year old son's injuries following a 2011 auto accident.
The lawsuit, filed in a Florida court, states that the severe injuries her son suffered has put her in debt thanks to the insurance company's "shoddy coverage." Echevarria claims she signed with the company in 2008 and asked for special coverage that would protect her and the company "carelessly left it out."
Echevarria's son Frankie ended up in intensive care after the car accident with severe body injuries and a brain injury. The very popular "Real Housewives of Miami" star went through a lot of pains and troubles after the accident, and Frankie has underwent therapy for much of the next year as he recovered.
Now, with what she calls millions of dollars in bills stacking up, she is focusing her attention on the insurance company she believed would help her cover the costs of an accident like this.
