Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: ‘How to Behave’ episode 11 [Videos]

This week’s episode begins with Ken and Lisa discussing the fact that Cedric, their permanent houseguest, has been with them for over a year now, and although Ken understands that Lisa feels responsible for him, maybe it’s time for him to move on.  A bonus is getting to see Lisa tending her gorgeous English garden. We learn later in this episode that Cedric had a tragic childhood.

Camille calls Kyle to invite her to a tennis/pool party in her expansive Malibu home to try and patch things up.

It’s Pandora’s 24th birthday and Lisa has a dinner at her restaurant Sur in West Hollywood, Pandora’s favorite.  Pandora’s boyfriend Jason states his wish to spend the rest of his life with her, but that's no marriage proposal, which irks Lisa. He is the love of Pandora’s life and Lisa wishes he would make now the time. It’s soon to come, he says.  Pandora thinks Jason likes to “wind them up” a bit.

Cedric has been working for Lisa and Ken for 15 years. They had a connection and he began having holidays with them and became part of the family. Cedric shares the story of his troubled past and tragic childhood with Kyle.  He explains that he was born in Paris. His mother was a prostitute and he never knew his father. He moved around a lot. His mom got married to a French guy who beat her and they ran away and lived on the streets. They lived on the street for a year, stealing and begging.  They’d sleep on the street with homeless people. One day she left him at a phone booth and never came back.  She just left him there, at about 7 or 8 years old. He had to be clever about things and learn to survive.  He was then put in social services and different foster homes. It was very hard for him. Then he met Lisa.  Lisa and Ken are the closest thing he has to parents and they changed his life. Lisa says they came for him too late, but Cedric says they came at the perfect time.  Lisa also says that when she hears Cedric’s story again, it reminds her why she feels they need to be there for him.  Kyle says that after hearing Cedric’s story, she hopes that he’s sincere. She knows that this story has touched Ken and Lisa in a deep way.

Camille’s tennis and pool party happens with Kyle and Adrienne being the only housewives invited, along with Handsome Nick (wearing a wig) and Nick’s wife, Tricia, who we don’t see enough of and other friends. Kyle comments on Camille’s habit of kissing him on the lips “If she tried that with my husband, she wouldn’t have any lips left!”  They play some tennis, Camille gets on her bikini and swims in the pool (she’s the only one in a bikini).  Camille mentions that the women didn’t want to bring their bathing suits – could be just “female jealousy” she says and “they’ll get over it.”  Kyle says after having a 2-year-old, her body is not where she wants it to be and she wasn’t ready to parade around in a bathing suit, but she ends up jumping in the pool with her clothes on and Adrienne gets pushed in by Paul. “My husband can be a prankster” says Adrienne and “payback's a bitch!”  Mauricio says he’s shocked that Kyle has had such a conflict with Camille and he hopes they can mend their relationship. Camille had her hired help set up an English tea for her guests. Adrienne mentions how they were all having a nice time and it would be nice if the women always got along this way. Turns out Paul’s nose has been broken a second time by their young son (head butt).  Paul’s snoring, by the way, is horrible. Camille feels that pain as Kelsey also snores.

The next day is Kyle’s big “white party.”  Taylor is looking forward to it as it’s been a long time since she and Russell went out and just had a good time together. There’s a “Fatburger” tent, miles of sushi, Kim in a ponytail and even Martin shows up, who Kim hasn’t heard from.  The thrill seems to be gone between Kim and Martin.

Russell didn’t have much fun at the white party and Taylor was disappointed. Again. “Russell’s very different. You can’t lure him into the fun,” says Taylor.

Camille arrives and brings a gift – for Kyle – a book:  How to Behave and Why  (1946) by Ferdinand author Munro Leaf offers etiquette lessons from a simpler time that still apply today. He offers examples of the main points (You have to be honest You have to be fair You have to be strong and you have to be wise) throughout - Publishers Weekly.)

Kyle says “I don’t know if she’s just trying to get under my skin or if that’s her attempt at a sense of humor, which I have not seen yet, but clearly she has not read this book.”

Lisa: “The book was called ‘How to Behave’ and I think that Camille should read it first.”

Honestly, Kyle, it’s just a joke, says Camille.

Entertainer for the night “Carrie” sings to Mauricio and Kyle as they dance the first dance in front of their guests. Taylor watches and is envious of their relationship.  She wishes she could get her marriage to the point where she and Russell could experience the same kind of thing.

Camille grabbed a burger and left early as she had bronchitis. Kyle felt Camille’s coming to the party was an attempt to make things better between them.

Taylor says Russell is not the kind of guy whose mood you can change and it’s a drag for her as she watches everyone else having fun with their husbands.  She longs to bring Russell from “the dark side to the fun side.”

Finally, Russell’s ready to leave, but Taylor’s not. She’s left enough times that she didn’t want to leave early this time.  And so Russell leaves alone.  She says it makes her feel sad and lonely.

In a quiet moment, as Kyle gets Portia ready for bed, she and Taylor talk and Taylor confides in Kyle, telling her that her relationship with Russell is lacking and that Russell has left the party alone. “Does he not like to see you have fun?” asks Kyle. Taylor says she feels so disconnected from Russell, he’s always worried about work and business deals. Kyle explains that Mauricio also has a lot going on, but takes the time to relax.  Taylor tries to hold back her tears and they hug and Taylor leaves the party.  The show ends with Taylor waiting outside for her driver alone in the dark.  The party was fun, but “for everyone else.”  She has this life that she wants to celebrate, she just wishes Russell wanted to celebrate with her.
