The fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills don’t get to hear from the cast every week when the show is on the air. While some reality stars blog, there seems to be a growing trend that some cast members don’t want the viewer's opinions so they simply ignore their responsibility of blogging. According to Lisa Vanderpump who updated her Bravo blog on Monday, this is a duty for the stars who rely on dedicated fans.
“Don't they want to hear what you have to say?” asks Lisa Vanderpump. “Of course it takes time, but it is an opportunity to explain your reasoning -- and it's your duty to those who watch.”
Frankly Lisa Vanderpump really has hit the nail on the head as this is one of the biggest gripes that fans have about the reality show. Rarely does Kim, Yolanda or the rest of the stars interact with the fans. It’s as if they are owed to be watched, but don’t bother caring about who is seeing their show.
It’s not just the group of ladies in Beverly Hills either. This trend of ignoring the fans is happening with the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta too. In fact Phaedra Parks hasn’t written anything about the reality show and admitted on one posting she didn’t watch it. And then there is The Real Housewives of New York cast. Those ladies are eager to pitch products (or books) to a wide audience and seem to really concentrate their focus on what the fans can consume more than the show.
The Real Housewives cast members should be required to put fingers to the keyboard after each episode to explain their thoughts. If the fans can take the time to watch, then the cast members can at least put up a few words.
