Meet Kyle Richards: Kyle Richards Umansky was born and raised in Beverly Hills.  Her siblings are Kathy Richards [Hilton - Nicky and Paris Hilton are her nieces] and Kim Richards. Kyle is married to  Mauricio Umansky and they have three daughters: 14-year-old, Alexia; 10-year-old, Sophia; and 2-year-old Portia. She has another daughter, 21-year-old Farrah Aldjufrie, from her first marriage. Kyle was a child actress all of her life and was in “Escape From Witch Mountain” where she played the younger version of sister, Kim [Kim was a child actress also].  She played “Alicia” in Little House on the Prairie for many years; was in the Disney films “Watcher in the Woods” and the classic horror movie, “Halloween” with Jamie Lee Curtis; and many other movies and TV series.

So why the reality show? She looks at life as an adventure and this is just another adventure.  She says that her business has changed so much over the years, and since it looks like reality TV is here to stay “If you can’t beat em, join em.” Is she a Housewives’ fan?  Kyle says that she watches all of the Real Housewives shows.  First she watched then as homework and then became addicted. She likes the OC and New York shows—Bethenny is a good friend of hers “for years.”

She hopes that she can come off as herself on the show and says it’s hard when you are in new situations with women like this; it’s not always fun.  In the end, she hopes that the mom and wife in her shines through as it’s the biggest part of her.

Kyle Richards is the 'high priestess' of style, charm, flair, and beauty. She uses all these assets extremly well. After I watch an episode (I watch them all), I am somewhat taken aback at the way Kyle treats and speaks to her beautiful, talented, "I just want to be loved" sister, Kim. It is disarming to me. They are two completely different personalities; I find Kim treasures Kyle; but Kyle comes off somewhat 'stand-offish' to Kim. This relationship needs some fine tuning and I believe it is up to Kyle to take on that job.
