Carlton Gebbia is one of the new cast members of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." She will appear on season 4 with newcomer, Joyce Giraud. Carlton gave a candid interview with The Daily Beast that was published Oct. 23 and revealed what it means for her to practice Wicca, a form of witchcraft.
The "Real Housewives" cast member knows a lot of "debate" surrounds what she believes in and wants people to know that it shouldn't be classified under a generalization of Paganism.
"I’m Celtic, which is my ancestry. And I practice witchcraft," Carlton said. "My grandmother was a Pagan. There are so many branches of Paganism and there are also different ways to practice these faiths. There’s no one defined answer."
Carlton added that she didn't just fall into Wicca. She said her witchcraft beliefs are actually quite positive and believes in spiritual growth.
"We believe that the spirit lies in everything around us and I believe that spiritual growth is related to the cycles of the earth. I believe in the moon phases as well," Carlton continued.
Fans will learn more about Carlton's involvement with Wicca when they see "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season 4. The previews show a few references to her being a "witch" when Kyle Richards goes off in a rage in a scene.
Does Carlton's children practice witchcraft? She said they don't because they're too young. She said her kids believe in the "power of prayer," which she says she does as well. She said that in addition to the healing of crystals and prayer candles are something they do.
Carlton said those are the three things her children use spiritually.
"If this is something they want to explore further, I’ll teach them," Carlton said.
It sounds as if Carlton Gebbia will bring a lot to the table in the next season of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." It'll be the first time a so-called "witch" will be seen on the franchise and it will certainly shake things up!
"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season 4 premieres Monday, Nov. 4 on Bravo.
