Reality Tea reported on Jan. 15 that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss is engaged to Todd Tucker after he popped the question on New Year's Eve.
Fellow cast mate Phaedra Parks was at the scene when Tucker proposed and Burruss even admits that she cried when he asked the question. The wedding date is still unknown and the couple has not made a decision yet about whether they will showcase the wedding on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" or a spin-off show similar to what Bethenny Frankel did with "Bethenny Getting Married?"
Burruss is the former Kandi Girl from the band Xscape and later helped produce and score "No Scrubs" for the band TLC. Burruss also wrote songs for Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, NSYNC, Boys II Men, Usher and Whitney Houston. She also wrote and executive produced former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Zolciak's "Tardy for the Party."
Burruss has a child with ex-boyfriend Russell Spencer and was also engaged in 2009 to the late Ashley Jewell.
Tucker is a production manager who has worked in the entertainment and television industry. On this season's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," he has played a role in a new feud between Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore when he produced Parks "Donkey Booty" workout video after Moore wanted to charge Parks $100,000 for the work.
