Atlanta reality television star Apollo Nida will begin his prison term next month. He will do an eight year sentence at FMC Lexington in Kentucky. This facility is for male inmates requiring medical care.

Apollo was indicted for fraud and identity theft. His initial prison term was 30 years. Apollo made a plea deal and the judge cut his sentence. He will also have to pay almost two million dollars in restitution.

Per Radar Online Apollo opened fake companies and bank accounts. He stole U.S. Treasury checks and used auto loan proceeds into those accounts to fund the bank accounts. Apollo previously did six years in prison for racketeering.

Apollo has kept a low profile since his sentencing. He is taking the Teresa Giudice approach for preparing for prison. Apollo hasn't posted on Twitter since July 31. I haven't seen him in magazines or on television. He is probably busy getting ready to go away. He needs to spend as much time as possible with his children Ayden and Dylan. Apollo may also be preparing for divorce from his wife Phaedra Parks. Speaking on the B100 morning show in Atlanta he was asked if his marriage to Phaedra Parks would survive the separation. Apollo's response was "I doubt it. I mean, my wife didn't even f------g show up for my sentencing, so I'm still kind of salty about that." Phaedra is an attorney and cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

It's understandable that Phaedra would not want to be with a man who committed crimes in order to provide for his family. On the other handApollo has a criminal history that goes back to 1997. Phaedra knew about Apollo's past and married him anyway. They met before he went to jail the second time in 2004. Perhaps now that Phaedra is a television star who is also hocking her own products she wants to distance herself from anyone who would drag her name through the mud. Well, her reputation started to go in the toilet the first season she appeared on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Phaedra lied about her due date for her first child with Apollo, Ayden. She also conducted herself in a childish manner many times each season she has been on the show. I guess they both deserve each other.

Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo on November 2.
