'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 7 cast reveals surprises: Salaries

One reason that the "Real Housewives" franchise has been so successful in reality TV is due to the fact that every branch of this franchise is skilled at delivering one surprise after another to its growing audience. And the one franchise that has probably delivered the most surprises this season is the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" franchise. In season 6, the women of Atlanta surprised the world time after time with one drama after another. Whether it was a legal drama, a public drama, or a hair pulling drama, it happened on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" this season. As a result of this drama, a lot of speculation occurred around what would become of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta: Season 7", with many of the assumptions surrounding cast members and who would, and would not, be returning for Season 7. The cast list for Season 7 of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" has just been announced by E! News online on June 13, and once again the ladies of Atlanta have surprised their growing fan base.

E! News Online is reporting that despite all of the hair pulling drama between the cast members of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" that the show will go on for all six of the lead cast members. Returning for Season 7 to the show are NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams. Many viewers will remember the incident that occurred on the Reunion episode of Season 6 between Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore.

As a result of that incident, sources told many media outlets that it would be "highly doubtful" that either of the two ladies involved in the incident would be returning for Season 7. A source has confirmed however with E! News that all 6 ladies will be back to surprise their audience week after week on the next season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. E! News confirms that all of the previous season cast mates are finalizing the details of the next season's contracts.

Some might think, who wouldn't be? The salaries the ladies are drawing just for appearing on the show and allowing their every surprise and daily dose of drama and ugliness are not that bad. NeNe Leakes is reportedly the highest paid of all of the "Real Housewives" across the country, and she told E! News that being on the show is both "a blessing and a curse."

"It has definitely opened up so many doors and opportunities for me. I have been able to do some of everything just from being on this platform. But at the same time, it can be very negative and very draining and all of things. But also, it can put a lot of money in my pocket. Not just the show, I'm saying, other things come to you."

How much money is going into NeNe's pocket? According to OK Magazine , NeNeLeaks is the highest paid of all of the Real Housewives and made over $1 million dollars, not including bonuses, for Season 6 of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta". She has not revealed how much she has signed on for with Season 7, but it would likely be higher than that. OK Magazine reported that behind NeNe Leaks is Kandi Burrus, who signed onto Season 6 for $450,000. Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey made $300,000 for Season 6.

Other high paid Housewives include Teresa Guidice from the "Real Housewives of New Jersey who makes $650,000 plus bonuses per season. She is followed by Caroline Manzo who makes $400,000, her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga who makes $350,000, and Jacqueline Laurita who makes $275,000.

Over in New York City, the "Real Housewives of New York" that have been around the longest are the ones that get paid the most. Ramona Singer and the Countess LuAnn DeLesseps both made half a million dollars for last season plus bonuses. Sonja Morgan made $220,000, Aviva Drescher made $200,000, and Heather Thompson made $175,000 for last season.

On the other side of the country, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" are making very similar amounts. Vicki Gunvalson who is the only current housewife who has been on since day one is making $500,000 according to OK Magazine. Lisa Vanderpump from the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Lisa Vanderpump made $350,000 last season, Kyle Richards made $225,000, and Brandi Glanville saw an increase in her salary from $18,000 to $175,000 for the last season.

The "Real Housewives of Miami" is the only branch of the franchise that never really took off in terms of fan base. As that franchise only ran a couple of seasons, cast mates Joanna Krupa, Marysol Patton, and Adriana DeMoura all made less than $75,000 each season according to OK Magazine.

Will you enjoy watching more drama between Kendra Moore and Porsha Williams in the next season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta? What do you think of these salaries? Are they on the high side for people that are already supposed to be 'wealthy'? What do you think about Teresa Guidice making $650,000, and still being found guilty of fraud over $5 million dollars?
