'Real Housewives of Atlanta': Kim Zolciak takes on trip critics

Since Kim Zolciak was the only "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member to not end up going to South Africa, she ended up being the target of a good bit of unfair criticism without having any way to defend herself. First, some of the ladies claimed that they could not imagine her there holding an African-American child -- and to make matters worse, some of them then proceeded to say that Sheree Whitfield was more or less her puppet.

So what does Kim have to say about all of this chatter now? In a post on Twitter, Kim made it clear that there are plenty of haters out there -- and then went on to once again say that she would have been with the ladies had she not just given birth:

"For the record I would have loved to go to South Africa however I just had my son and there was no way I was leaving a newborn!!!"

In what is in many ways a sort of prequel to her upcoming spin-off, next week we will see much more of Kim and her now-husband Kroy Biermann.
