'Real Housewives of Atlanta' drops due to Grammy competition

One week after scoring some massive numbers and setting a season high, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" ran into what was in many ways a brick wall on Sunday night courtesy of the 2012 Grammy Awards.

Overall, the Bravo reality series drew nearly 2.4 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic -- numbers that were down by over 1.5 million viewers from the last new episode two weeks ago. Unfortunately for NeNe Leakes and company, the show really comes on at what is a difficult month when it comes to competition -- the Super Bowl, the Grammys, and the Oscars are all happening in one month, and you can only schedule so many repeats.

Of course, the #1 show on cable Sunday was "The Walking Dead" -- which scored a 4.2 rating in the demographic.
