It’s finally time for romantic dance in the rain!
After seeing the boundless talent portrayed onstage from the cast of the fun-loving and ‘Downton Abbey-esque,’ three time Tony award-winning musical comedy, ‘Me and my Girl’ in July, Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston tops off its 46th stellar summer season with the acclaimed, timeless musical, ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ from Thursday, August 7 through Sunday, August 17! Visit reaglemusictheatre.com for more information!
What sets the musical comedy, ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ apart is not just the spectacular sets, its catchy dance numbers, and its sharp dialogue, but the stage production was launched after the award-winning film! ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ was immortalized on screen by the staggering talents of dance dynamos Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds. Winner of a Golden Globe for Donald O’Connor as Cosmo and an Oscar nomination for Jean Hagan as Lina, the American Film Institute ranked it as one of the top ten movies of all time.
Vibrant and dazzling, ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ is an exciting foray into the glamorous, but not always glorious world of old time Hollywood! A show within a show taking place in the late 20s, silent film star Don Lockwood is more famous than ever, just as movie studios discover the “talking picture.”
With glorious classic numbers such as ‘Good Morning,’ ‘All I Do is Dream of You,’ and ‘Singin’ in the Rain,’ ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ is back by popular demand, taking place under the bright lights of show business!
Directed by award-winning Broadway veteran Kirby Ward and featuring a scene where it really does rain onstage, see ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ from Thursday, August 7 through Sunday, August 17! Performances will be held at the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. Visit reaglemusictheatre.com for more information!
