You've stood in front of your closet for at least a half hour, taking clothes off the rack, looking in the mirror, alone, contemplating having a mini fashion show again. Admiring the photo of yourself, a symphony in black again, you wonder how much longer you can last without buying a new outfit, or at least a new accessory to keep in style. You go back to the computer, pulling up some of the clothing websites and scanning your fashion email. Finding the clothing that is being featured on sale at a reduced price, you find black dresses and accessories, which you do not really need, especially in Chicago after seeing the highlights of the runway fashion show in the Tribune.
You glance at the Carson's and Macy's ads you received, contemplating the shoe sales, ambivalently wondering whether you should go shopping again this week. Knowing you haven't really budgeted another clothing or accessory purchase, and struggling with the decision of cutting your restaurant budget for this month, you go over to the phone, calling your best friend. You ask her whether she wants to go shopping this week, mentioning the idea of going to Chico's, remembering the commericals about skinny jeans in different styles and colors. Deciding to invite her over for one of your experiment with a new recipe dinners to save money instead of going to a restaurant, the plan is made for another shopping trip. Making plans to leave for one of the malls straight from home telecommuting, you email your boss, asking whether you can telecommute later on in the week again, outlining the work you want to do online, your gasoline and train ticket savings on your mind. With a positive email from your boss, you solidify your decision to make at least one purchase when you get to the mall if you can find anything decent.
So what do you plan on buying? Well, maybe you'll find a color block tunic at Dress Barn or a new print dress with exciting, bold colors. You fit that store into your scheduled trip, planning to wear it on your "blind date", if you find something that coordinates with your existing separates. Looking through the Ultimate Outlet emails, you make a mental note to yourself to check that website with your friend when she comes to pick you up. Eager to get started, you look at your watch and your coupons, wondering what Chicago shopping will feature this evening.
