A recipe for homemade pressed down potatoes.

Clean potatoes well.

The preference of the skin on or off is optional.

Boil potatoes until tender enough to put a fork gently through. But not to the point where the potatoes is falling apart.

If boiling in microwave seventeen minutes would be rough estimate.

Remove from boiling water and rinse lightly any starch that accumulated from the boil time. Place on a baking sheet, pan or foil and use a kitchen tool to smash down potatoes, lightly. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.

Season with preference, salt and/or pepper all optional.

Place in oven under selection of broiler and let brown and cook further for about 10minutes to develop a crusty top, on top of the potatoes. Remove from oven, let cool slightly so center won’t be hot when bitten into then add favorite dressing and serve. Enjoy.

Recipe for everyday, to add on too a meal, a Super Bowl appetizer, snack and so on.
