Foodies rejoice! Denver Restaurant Week is back! The eighth annual Denver Restaurant Week (DRW) returns to the Mile High. The DRW kicked off with nearly 300 restaurants participating on February 25 and continues through March 9. The budget-friendly city-wide festival celebrates the culinary feats of Denver area restaurants by offering multi-course meals for the “Mile High” fixed-price of $52.80 for two; $26.40 for one (tax and gratuity not included.)

Reservations are highly encouraged (when possible) as last year Denver Restaurant Week, sponsored by VISIT DENVER, prepared more than 360,000 meals served, and DRW diners viewed more than 8 million page views of menus at the Denver Restaurant Week site in 2011.

Again this year, DRW diners can pre-plan their dining experience by searching the Denver Restaurant Week for restaurants and their menus. Start with searching all Denver Restaurant Week menus to find your perfect Mile High City restaurant. Or pick a neighborhood and geographically choose your restaurant. Perhaps you’re hungering for a specific type of food, be it Italian, Mexican, American or Chinese, you can also search by cuisine to find the perfect spot for your meal.

Choose from fine dining experiences at Elway’s Cherry Creek or Elway’s Downtown at the Ritz-Carlton; EDGE Restaurant at Four Seasons; Bella Bistro in Arvada; or the chef inspired Colterra Food and Wine in Niwot. Looking for more casual? How about Maggiano's Little Italy, Carrabbas Italian Grill, La Sandia Cantina & Tequila Bar, or Outback Steakhouse? During DRW, the Mile High City is your oyster.

This year for the first time, DRW invites diners to “Get Social.” Who doesn’t have a restaurant on their “must-visit” list? Perhaps the restaurant is out of reach of your budget? Or maybe it’s just too far to drive?

Whatever the reason for getting dining out, DRW gives you the opportunity to expand your restaurant experiences online by creating your Must-Dine List at http://www.denver.org/denverrestaurant/must-dine; and follow the directions to connect to your Facebook page, and add your restaurant wish list. Then begin earing your Denver Restaurant Week badges when you dine at your listed restaurants.

Whether you’re a Denver local, or an out-of-town traveler, don’t forget to “Make a Night of It” during DRW. Several hotel deals are also offered on the DRW website to experience the Mile High City’s restaurants and hotels through March 7.
