Ready or not: The storm is coming!

With just hours to go before the next big storm hits the east coast, most retailers in Union County and Middlesex County are reporting that they are completely out of stock on key items, namely ice melt and salt. Huge retailers such as Home Depot have reportedly been out of ice melt for several days now, as customers have been stocking up since before the weekend. Many customers headed out tonight to pick up supplies that will be needed throughout the storm, and were disappointed to find out they were too late. Some customers scrambled for the last snow shovels, while others contemplated buying snow blowers. Supplies are running out quickly at stores like Walmart, Shop Rite, Dollar General, and Pathmark. It seems that retailers did not order enough stock in time for this upcoming storm.

Temperatures are expected to be very low tomorrow. Snow, freezing rain, and hail is expected to fall in many areas on the east coast starting tonight and going well into tomorrow. Kean University, Ocean County College, and Union County College have cancelled all classes for tomorrow. If you do not have to be on the road, stay inside and keep warm. The roads are going to be dangerous to drive on and the chances of having an accident are going to be much higher than normal due to freezing, icy roadways.
