Do you have questions about what it’s like to take part in a CSA? What types of shares are available? Or want to meet and get to know the farmers who may be producing the share you choose? Then don’t miss the annual CSA open house, March 10, from 1 – 4 p.m. at Monona Terrace.
Meet the farmers
Approximately 35 CSA farms will be represented at the open house. You can learn more about the types of shares they offer, where you’ll pick up your share if you become a member, and can ask them any question you have about being part of community supported agriculture.
If you are looking for more detailed information, the open house is also offering these free workshops to help you get answers to all your questions about joining a CSA.
- “CSA 101: Nuts & Bolts of Community Supported Agriculture” by Erika Janik, CSA Member & Dennis Fiser, CSA Farmer from Regenerative Roots, at 1:15 & 3:15 p.m.
- “CSA 201: Making the Most of your Seasonal CSA Produce” by Laura Gilliam of Local Thyme, a CSA Menu Planning Service, at 3:15 p.m.
