Has the cold weather kept you trapped inside? Do you want to get back into shape after hibernating indoors through the recent icy weather? Memphis Botanic Garden (MBG) designed the Daffodil Dash just for your then. On March 8, friends and family members can join together at the gardens for the 8th annual Daffodil Dash Three-Miler and Family Fun Run. The race begins at 10 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
The race is an MRTC three-mile certified route. The one-mile Family Fun Run will begin on the great lawn at the Garden, follow the pathway through the Prehistoric Plant Trail and finish on Daffodil Hill. The post-race party includes refreshments and live music. The registration fee is $25. Children 12 and under can enter the Family Fun Run for $10. A one dollar discount will be given to MBG and MRTC members.
Overall winners receive Live at the Garden concert series passes. Packet pickup and race day registration will begin at 8 a.m. in the visitor center of the Memphis Botanic Garden. Online registration is also available. Jogging strollers are allowed. The Memphis Botanic Garden is located at 750 Cherry Road.
