Are you hosting a Pre-Grammy party? Don't you wish that surprising acts were there to perform, such as Lourdes? Or how Macklemore and Lewis began performing on a public bus, but instead appeared in your living room? Oh, yes, the many amazing surprises that happen at pre-Grammy parties, but not usually at your house waiting for it to come on.

Tonight is the 56th Annual Grammy Awards and this is an exciting and eventful evening for all music genres. This is the occasion to host a Grammy party. Some people even roll out the red carpet (literally) and take photos on the way up to the front door. This can be done pretty easily and can be so much fun.

Some parties are strictly black-tie events, but really, these parties can be loads of fun. You can celebrate a genre of music, such as jazz or rock-n-roll. You could have a decade of music be a theme and your guests come dressed as a musician/artist from that decade. Grammy parties are lots of fun and you can make them that way with an abundance of accessories, from multiple colored beads to ribbons on wine glasses to colored crystal bobby-pins in your hair. The point is to celebrate music and art and to express yourself through music.

Let's all celebrate together, tonight, watching the 56th Annual Grammy Awards live on CBS beginning at 7:00 pm.
